This delightful Santa Barbara inspired home in Central Phoenix was originally a dark, low-ceilinged, 1980s townhouse. A.M. Carlier Design worked with the architect and general contractor to fulfill the home owner’s desire to open up the core of the house, bring in lot’s of light and incorporate authentic Santa Barbara details.

The project involved taking most of the structure down to the studs, raising the great room ceiling to the second floor ceiling height, adding hand-carved beams and arched doors, replacing all flooring, millwork, lighting, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, appliances and finishes as well as curating some of the homeowner’s own furnishings with new purchases.
