This 1979 golf course property in the McCormick Ranch area of Scottsdale had been partially updated several years ago. The client asked for additions and modifications to several areas of the house which involved blending the new seamlessly with the existing.

This included the kitchen where custom hand-painted cabinets were matched and extended—a seamless end product. Both bathrooms were gutted and redesigned eliminating low soffits and raising ceilings, matching the finish on new manganese Saltillo floors to existing Saltillo in the hallways, new shower layouts were improved and enlarged, and of course new tile and fixtures were selected.

The primary bath included handmade custom accent tile. The fireplace in the great room was enlarged and redesigned to accommodate current technology, adding quartz stack stone and an historic hand-hewn mantel. New wood floors replaced carpet in all the bedrooms.

New furniture, artwork and accessories were coordinated with the clients’ existing collection throughout the home.
